To determine the size of coil needed, measure the thickness of the book, find that size on the list below, then use a coil two sizes larger. For example, if the book is 12mm thick, use a 14mm coil. Rule of Thumb:

3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 Coil Ratio: The coil ratio or pitch is the number of holes per inch. The most common ratio, 4:1 we keep in stock. 3:1 and 5:1 are available to special order for those customers with these coil systems.
